- Oversee monthly close activities, reconciliations, and journal accuracy to ensure timely, GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable, billing, cost entry, and vendor compliance while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Lead, mentor, and support accounting team members in daily operations, issue resolution, and professional development.
- Partner with leadership to optimize ERP systems, enforce SOPs, and drive automation, forecasting, and audit readiness initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP management, progress billing, and percentage‑of‑completion reporting.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards, with a strong focus on internal controls and asset protection.
- Advanced analytical, forecasting, and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency with construction accounting software and ERP systems, supporting accurate budgeting and project‑level financial management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional training.
This position operates primarily in an office setting and requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and data entry. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary during routine office activities or meetings.
