Sue Sumrell is recruiting a confidential search for a Controller who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex accounting challenges, and wants a seat at the leadership table.

This isn't a back-office accounting role. You'll own financial reporting, lead a high-performing team, partner directly with executive leadership, and play a key role in a major corporate integration and IFRS conversion effort. You'll have visibility, influence, and the opportunity to help shape the future of the organization.

What You'll Own

+ Lead the accounting and financial reporting function

+ Drive month-end close, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting

+ Oversee audits, internal controls, and compliance initiatives

+ Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and business performance

+ Support IFRS reporting and conversion efforts

+ Develop and mentor an established accounting team

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and complex regulatory requirements in a project-based environment

+ Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data while supporting broader business objectives through cross-functional collaboration and operational support.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ CPA preferred (active or inactive considered)

+ 12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

+ Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience

+ Multi-entity and consolidation expertise

+ Strong financial reporting and audit leadership background

+ Experience leading teams and partnering with executives

+ Budgeting and forecasting experience

+ IFRS knowledge or conversion experience is highly desirable

Bonus Points For

+ Project-based industry experience

+ FAR, AASHTO, DCAA, or government contract accounting knowledge

+ Experience in organizations with $200M+ in revenue

+ ERP experience supporting sophisticated reporting environments
