WHO THEY ARE

We are a locally owned and operated Oregon business that has served the community since 1992. Over the years, we have grown into one of the state’s larger independent tax service providers, with two year-round offices staffed by experienced professionals. Our mission is to offer a full range of tax preparation, business, and consulting services at competitive rates while providing knowledgeable, personalized support to every client.

Our team includes Enrolled Agents, Licensed Tax Consultants, Licensed Tax Preparers, CPAs, accountants, and Quick Books Pro-certified professionals who are committed to understanding and meeting each client’s needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Senior Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of business and individual clients from initial tax planning through completion, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout the process. You’ll lead tax planning and advisory conversations, review and sign complex individual and business returns, and oversee multi-entity, multi-state, and Oregon SALT compliance. You’ll also be responsible for resolving complex tax issues, ensuring accurate and consistent technical work, and managing the overall scope and delivery of client engagements.

In addition, you’ll mentor and support Associates, Seniors, and Managers by providing practical technical guidance and feedback. As you grow in the role, you’ll have the opportunity to become more involved in engagement pricing and scoping, workflow and capacity planning, process improvements, and developing firm-wide standards and best practices.

Salary $150,000 - $185,000 (DOE)

WHAT YOU

NEED TO HAVE

To be successful in this role, you should have an active CPA license and at least 7–10 years of progressive public accounting experience, including five or more years managing complex client engagements and reviewing and signing tax returns. You’ll need strong technical knowledge of individual and business taxation, including 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, Oregon SALT, and multi-state tax matters, along with the ability to independently manage client relationships and provide practical solutions to complex tax issues.

Previous experience mentoring or supervising staff, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a modern, paperless boutique firm environment are also important. Experience with 990, 1041, 706, 709, or international reporting is a plus.
