Your New Role

We are seeking a Director of Forensic Accounting & Fiduciary Services to join a highly respected professional services organization. This is a unique opportunity to lead sophisticated financial engagements, mentor a talented team, and serve as a trusted advisor on high-profile fiduciary and court-appointed matters.

As the Director of Forensic Accounting & Fiduciary Services, you2ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of accounting and tax professionals, providing coaching and performance management for staff, establishing best practices and engagement standards across the accounting and tax function. You2ll also oversee a portfolio of fiduciary and litigation support engagements, serve as the accounting ledger on court-appointed and fiduciary assignments, and manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Strong communication skills are essential here, as you2ll be responsible for communicating financial findings and recommendations to attorneys, courts, trustees, and other stakeholders.

In this role, you2ll need a strict eye for detail, as you2ll be investigating financial discrepancies and fraud allegations, reconstructing accounting records and financial statements, analyzing business operations and cash flows, and preparing expert-quality reports and supporting documentation for legal proceedings and stakeholder review. You2ll also oversee the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax filings, research and resolve complex accounting and tax issues, develop technical accounting memoranda and financial analyses, and partner with internal and external advisors on tax planning and reporting matters.

Someone with innate leadership skills will thrive here, as you2ll serve in Interim Controller/CFO capacities as needed, develop financial forecasts and cash flow analyses, and support business valuations and distressed asset management engagements.

Success in this role requires an accomplished accounting professional and an experienced leader who thrives in a collaborative, intellectually engaging environment. You2ll need to bring strong business judgment, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills. Experience in insolvency services or leadership roles within a CPA firm or corporate finance environment will be highly valued.

This is a hybrid role at our client2s beautiful downtown Portland office, where you2ll have quick and easy access to various restaurants, cafes, and boutiques.
