About Us

Potter Webster is a family owned and operated heavy-duty truck and trailer parts distributor headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The company operates three distribution and retail locations across the Northwest, serving customers locally and nationwide. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team.

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk will manage customer accounts, process payments, resolve billing issues, and help ensure invoices are collected accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with accounting systems.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and send accurate customer invoices
  • Record and apply incoming payments
  • Monitor accounts and follow up on past-due balances
  • Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies
  • Respond professionally to billing and payment questions
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activity
  • Prepare accounts receivable aging and other financial reports
  • Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliation
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and finance teams
  • Follow company policies and protect confidential financial information
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy, professionalism, and discretion
  • Experience with Karmak Fusion is a plus.
