Job Description:
Launch Your Tax Career with Withum– November 2027 Class Withum is seeking accounting majors graduating in the upcoming academic year to join our Tax team as part of the November 2027 Class. This is a great opportunity to launch your career in public accounting by working alongside experienced tax professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience in individual and business tax preparation, compliance, and planning, while supporting clients across diverse industries.
What You’ll Do:
As part of a team supervised by a Manager or Partner, you may:
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.
Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum’s proprietary tools.
Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios.
Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service.
Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends.
Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows.
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
The kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following:
Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm Strong analytical, communication and organizational skillsA collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus Ability to work in one of our office locations

The compensation for this position ranges from $62,000 to $90,000 based on location. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
