Director of Accounting

Overview

One of our most innovative manufacturing clients is seeking a dynamic Director of Accounting to lead the accounting and finance department of a rapidly growing business. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the role focuses on developing and maintaining accounting processes in line with GAAP, driving cost accounting to maximize margins, and ensuring the company's financial health.

• Develop and maintain accurate accounting processes and controls.
• Lead cost accounting initiatives to support margin improvement.
• Optimize department performance and manage a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee credit and corporate accounting functions, delegating tasks as necessary.
• Establish best practices and protocols for the accounting team.
• Drive short‑term financial objectives while maintaining long‑term vision.
• Conduct financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Cultivate strong relationships with the Leadership Team to ensure transparent communication.

• 10+ years progressive accounting leadership experience.
• CPA required.
• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
