Seeking experienced Cost Accounting Professional to join a growing manufacturing company as a Cost Accounting Manager.

This role is with a growing company with a 50-person global finance team, and will be focused on US plant operations. The right person for this role will bring deep cost accounting understanding, budgeting & Forecasting, and exceptional ability to partner with leaders across the organization. A CMA is appreciated, however at a base level a Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance or Business is required.

Also, you should be a strong systems user and enjoy identifying and explaining the “why” behind the data.

This is a growing business unit, looking to double revenue in the next five years. We’re looking for someone strategic who will support that growth.

Compensation:

$,000 base + bonus

  • 401k – 6% company contribution

  • Multiple M/D/V options, company pays 80% of cost of individual premiums, low close family coverage options
Location

NE Portland – Hybrid, 3 days on site/week

The Role
  • Ownerships of cost accounting, manufacturing variance analysis and performance reporting for multiple US plants.
  • Own costing standards, costing scenarios, work center rates, and costing assumptions
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for multiple plants including presentation to executive team
  • Inventory management and valuations
  • Ownership of variance analysis across locations.
You
  • 10+/- years of overarching accounting experience, including manufacturing and heavy lean to Cost Experience.
  • Full understanding of standard costing and weighted average costing methods, understanding of appropriate treatment of discrete and process manufactured items strength, absorption, standard costing, discrete work orders, process work orders
  • Strong mind for process improvement, flexibility, critical thinking skills, and willingness to jump into new things
  • Strong preference for multi-national experience
  • Someone comfortable presenting information to shareholders, executive leadership team, answering extensive questions and diving into detail
