Accountant II

Location: Portland, OR | Hybrid
Salary: Up to $75,000

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a collaborative finance team. This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility while providing broad exposure to general accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and depreciation to support monthly and year-end close.

• Assist with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, invoicing, cash reconciliations, banking, and collections.

• Support audits, internal controls, 1099 reporting, and regulatory compliance.

• Analyze grant and contract activity, restricted funds, revenue accruals, and other financial data.

• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.

• 2+ years of nonprofit accounting experience.

• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
