ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client, a leading non-profit organization providing a valued community service with a mission anyone can get behind, is looking for an Accounting Specialist. The organization offers a team-oriented culture and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to perform.

• Manage Housing Related Social Needs (HRSN) program billing, including rent and utility payments for participants and invoicing the State for reimbursement.
• Accurately enter invoices and participant data into multiple online portals, ensuring compliance with each system’s requirements.
• Prepare and submit monthly reimbursement requests in accordance with funding source guidelines.
• Gather and verify supporting documentation for all invoicing.
• Track multiple funding sources and apply correct billing processes depending on program requirements.
• Review and code accounts payable transactions, including employee reimbursements and program expenses.
• Process and verify credit card transactions, using Excel to ensure proper coding and allocations.
• Support transition from MIP accounting system to Intacct.

• Familiarity with processes within a grant/donation funded organization
• Solid understanding of the general ledger, including debits/credits
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communicator
• Tech savvy with strong proficiency in ERP accounting systems and Excel

• Flexibility in adapting to evolving processes and funding requirements.
