Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Location: Portland Metro Area, OR (Training in multiple office locations)
Work Model: Onsite
Pay Range: $54,000 - $58,000 annually
Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Portland area, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join their team. This unique role blends accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, and project coordination responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday.

- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end accounting processes, including preparation of financial statements and financial reporting
- Record payroll journal entries, review payroll activity, and assist with payroll-related accounting functions
- Perform account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and support general ledger (GL) accounting activities
- Monitor cash balances, process ACH and wire payments, facilitate bank transfers, and resolve payment discrepancies
- Assist with fixed asset tracking, year-end close activities, audit support, tax preparation documentation, and 1099 reporting
- Compile financial data and prepare accounting reports for leadership as needed
- Provide administrative, technology, and project support to internal teams while assisting with special projects and operational initiatives
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or staff accountant experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with Quick Books and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and accounting software systems
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage confidential information, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
