About the Role
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee complex tax engagements, support business development efforts, and help drive the continued growth of the firm's tax practice.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory engagements for privately held and closely held business clients.
- Review and oversee Federal tax returns, including:
- C-Corporations
- S-Corporations
- Partnerships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client tax matters, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Support partners in identifying and developing opportunities for additional services and client growth.
- Conduct technical tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues and special projects.
- Lead client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing priorities, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Review reports, tax filings, and client deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes.
- Analyze complex tax matters and provide strategic insights and solutions to clients.
- Mentor and develop tax professionals through coaching, training and performance management.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field. - Experience:
7+ years of recent public accounting tax experience. - Progressive experience managing tax engagements and client relationships.
- Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience.
- Certifications:
Active CPA license strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal business taxation and tax planning strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tax technology platforms.
- Business development mindset with the ability to build and expand client relationships.

Base Salary: $150,000 – $200,000, depending on experience, credentials, and overall fit.
