Responsibilities
- Resolve conflicts that may arise among team members.
- Interview military applicants to gather and verify data for service entry.
- Inform military applicants about required processes and procedures for their branch of service.
- Obtain military applicants' fingerprints to initiate a background investigation.
- Perform quality review of military applicant records, packets, and forms to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Prepare recruitment and other military personnel documents for individuals enlisting or reenlisting into military service.
- Distribute workload among employees to ensure timely completion.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is designated as non‑sensitive and requires a personal security background investigation.
- This position may require you to work an occasional Saturday and/or shift work.
- This position will routinely require you to work unscheduled overtime to accommodate fluctuations in workload based on the daily mission requirements.
- This position may require you to perform occasional overnight travel as assigned.
- This position requires you to successfully complete Military Health System (MHS) GENESIS Training within 30 days of onboarding and/or as required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Experience:
- Reviewing applicant records to identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Questioning applicants to obtain missing information or clarify information.
- Maintaining electronic or paper applicant records in an automated system.
- Briefing candidates on policies and procedures.
Typing Proficiency: Self‑certify 40 words per minute with a five‑minute sample and three or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS‑05). Current federal employees must include pay plan, series and grade in experience and provide supporting documentation.
Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
Additional Information- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

- One year probationary period during which the agency evaluates fitness and continued employment.
