Job Summary

Constituent Engagement (Alumni, Family and Donor Engagement) has a position open for first/second or third year students. This position provides administrative support to our office and is a great opportunity to become a well‑known member of the University community. Our office frequently interacts with alumni, donors, and other University VIPs.

Administrative skills, ability to prioritize and work with deadlines, and strong computer skills are required to be successful in this position. Students may be asked to work individual events which may be held evenings or on weekends. The Assistant could work 5-16 hours per week when classes are in session.

Core Duties
  • Provide administrative/clerical support including updates to database, mailing, copying, answering phone, greeting guests, and campus errands
  • Take on a variety of projects from staff, such as mail merges, sending out mailings, and data entry
  • Assist staff with special events, including event preparation, event staffing, and post‑event duties as assigned
  • Communicate in a professional manner with alumni and parents
  • Drive a 6‑passenger golf cart to transport guests during department events
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Team‑oriented mindset
  • Willingness to check in daily for additional projects/work
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds; driving a golf cart
