Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support our HR department with various tasks and initiatives, including scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires, and managing timecards. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and learning as the company continues to expand. Previous HR experience is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the role are key.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, and completing simple forms.
- Make photocopies, mail, scan, and email documents; perform other clerical functions as needed.
- Manage filing systems either manually or electronically; maintain organized employee files.
- Prepare new-employee files and process mail.
- HR Functions:
- Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.
- Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks.
- Assist with processing terminations and the performance review process.
- Support recruitment and interview processes; track candidate status in ADP and send follow-up letters.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of Operations.
- Customer Service:
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in Quarterly Safety Meetings.
- Assist with donation coordination tasks assigned by the DC Manager.
- Help with mailing marketing materials as required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- None.
- At least one year of related experience
- ADP experience is must.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
