Are you a proactive, organized professional who loves making an impact behind the scenes? Our client — a longstanding Portland school — is seeking an Executive Assistant for Mission and Operations to support executive leadership, connect across departments, and help keep the organization running smoothly. This role is your chance to be a key part of a mission-driven team from day one.
In this role you’ll wear a lot of hats, as your position involves executive support, board and governance support, internal operations, and some human resource support. You’ll need to keep a sharp eye on detail as you manage the President’s calendar and schedule meetings, prepare briefing materials and agendas, and support donors and board stewardship. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating logistics and preparing documents for the Board of Trustees and committee meetings, while maintaining accurate records of board correspondence — so, of course, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and discretion in handling confidential information are critical.
Someone with a desire to form strong partnerships will thrive in this role, as the Executive Assistant works closely with the Leadership Team to set schedules, navigate logistics for school wide meetings, and provide limited operational support as needed. The Human Resources department will be key collaborators as you assist with onboarding and benefits administration, managing applications, and conducting interviews.
This is a religious environment, so your comfort building positive relationships and working with a diverse range of stakeholders in faith-based spaces will be essential.
This is a fully on-site role.
Your New Organization:This local middle school has served underprivileged young people of all faiths for over half a decade. Their mission is to empower them in their spiritual, intellectual, and personal development to prepare them for college and future careers. Our client prides themselves on sustaining a collaborative community, where faculty are encouraged to get to know families and students personally. Everyone here works as a team – with planning and programming all aimed at expanding students’ horizons.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability insurance; FSA; 403b retirement with 2% match; and EAP.
