The Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator provides professional expertise in pre- and post-award grants and contract administration to ensure full compliance with both sponsor and organizational rules and regulations, thereby supporting external funding streams and reducing risk to the organization. This position works in partnership with investigators, department leaders and staff, and central office sponsored research teams, to achieve successful and compliant grant application submissions to federal and non-profit sponsors.
They review funding announcements and sponsor policies, provides guidance to investigators, assembles proposals, prepares budgets, and manages the submission of multiple time-sensitive applications simultaneously. They also serve as an expert in post-award contract performance to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of an effective grants and contracts portfolio management system, evaluating organizational compliance with agreement terms and assisting in the development of organizational processes and polices to ensure they meet established sponsor requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Public Administration, or related field from college or university, or 4 years of applicable experience in healthcare, research, finance, accounting, education, or legal fields.
- Upon hire: CRA issued by SRA within 1 year of hire
- 5 years closely related experience.
- 2 years experience training investigators and staff in grants administration.
- 2 years experience interpreting and providing guidance in OMB Uniform Guidance, NIH Grants Policy Statement and/or Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- 2 years skilled use of electronic software applications, especially Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Teams, One Drive, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, MSA, or equivalent educ/experience
- 4 years research/grant/healthcare administration.
- Skilled in interpreting and evaluating institutional ability to comply with contract requirements.
