Sr. Demand Planning Manager

The Sr. Demand Planning Manager manages the demand planning process for all business areas by integrating customer and business intelligence with business analytics and statistical forecasting tools. The Sr. Demand Planning Manager will support the demand planning forecast analysts and the business by providing an integrative demand planning perspective for decision making and issue resolution. This role provides vital business insights regarding long range volume forecasts and leadership in developing volume projection assumptions, risks, and opportunities that align with financial and business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development of valid Demand Plans and continue to grow and refine the continuous planning process
  • Work with Forecast Analysts/Demand Planners and other key stakeholders to ensure total volume incorporates new item launches, seasonal volume, events, and promotions
  • Develop long-range forecasting models, processes, and skilled Forecast Analysts/Demand Planners to meet customer service and inventory objectives
  • Lead monthly Demand Consensus review process to ensure that risks and opportunities are communicated, and resolution plans are in place and identify risks and opportunities associated with achieving volume plans
  • Improve customer satisfaction while supporting revenue and profit growth through improved forecasting
  • Prepare reports and presentations and participate in the monthly S&OP process
  • Set guidelines for implementation and execution of all demand planning activities to include material and customer level forecasting and the demand side for the annual budget process
  • Monitor business-specific performance indicators and perform post-period analysis to determine forecast improvement opportunities
  • Provide the ‘voice of reason’ when working cross-functionally to develop and communicate a consensus forecast that drives supply chain planning
  • Provide information to management as needed regarding past periods, future forecasts, and associated key drivers
  • Leverage I.T. for collecting and cleansing data
  • Develop planning strategies for new and discontinued products
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Minimum

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, business analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a related S.T.E.M. field
  • Master’s in business, supply chain, business analytics, or related S.T.E.M.
