****** JOB PURPOSE
**** This role provides administrative and academic support to the ENVS faculty and staff.  Student assistants may be asked to:  assist with office tasks, assist faculty with grading for ENVS/ESS coursework, and/or manage ENVS social media  this role, you'll develop crucial career readiness competencies that align with the specified criteria in our detailed performance review template. Depending on the requirements of the role you are assigned, you may enhance various skills, including:
* Clear and effective communication
* Critical thinking capabilities
* Leadership skills
* Understanding of effective work habits
* Team collaboration and relationship building
* Effective use of technology
**** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
***** Assist with ENVS office tasks
* Assist faculty with grading for ENVS/ESS coursework
* Manage ENVS social media with input from ENVS staff/faculty
* Oversee memorial tree walk
* Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College
**** SCHEDULE
* **** Students work 1-3 hours per week on average.  Specific schedules will be set with the supervisor and may include evening and weekend work for social media coverage.
**** RATE OF PAY***** $16.80 / hour
**** WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
***** Federal or L&C Work Study not required
**** OTHER REQUIREMENTS
***** ENVS major required, preference given to upper class students and/or students who have taken ENVS 220 or ENVS 295
* Ability to work independently
* Excellent attention-to-detail and professionalism
* Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills
* Must have proficient Google suite skills
