Senior Project Manager – Tilt-Up Construction
Location: Portland, OR
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: 100-140K base
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale tilt-up concrete construction projects in the Portland, Oregon market. Our client oversees and constructs new buildings in nearly all commercial market segments, including tenant improvements, existing building renovations, and healthcare, providing the Sr. PM exposure to a diverse and technically interesting project portfolio. This role is ideal for a proven construction leader who excels at managing complex projects from preconstruction through closeout while building strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage tilt-up construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, quality control, and safety compliance
- Collaborate with estimating, design, and field teams during preconstruction planning
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor contracts and scopes of work
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and cost/schedule impacts
- Ensure compliance with local codes, permitting requirements, and company standards
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and forecasting
- 5-10 years of construction project management experience
- Significant experience delivering tilt-up concrete projects (industrial, warehouse, distribution, commercial, or similar)
- Proven success managing projects in the $20M+ range
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience working in the Portland, OR and Pacific Northwest market preferred
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with design-build delivery methods
- Strong local subcontractor and supplier relationships
