Superintendent of Construction

Actalent is seeking to hire a construction superintendent, who will oversee ground-up construction projects ranging from $10 million to $30 million, with a preference for senior living project experience. This person will manage all aspects of construction from start to finish, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards.

• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and effective communication and delivery.
• Monitor project costs and adhere to budgets, utilizing cost control and job costing techniques.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera.
• Coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee field crew, including project engineers, foremen, and assistant superintendents.
• Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement and manage project safety protocols.
• Coordinate on-site manpower, materials, equipment, and logistics.
• Address job site challenges, such as weather conditions or emergencies.

• Proven experience in managing $10 million to $30 million ground-up construction projects.
• Proficiency in construction management software, such as Procore and MS Project.
• Ability to read blueprints and supervise construction activities.
• Experience in commercial construction and subcontractor management.
• OSHA 30 certification.

• Experience with large ground-up senior living construction projects is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office for project documentation.
• Ability to schedule projects from start to finish efficiently.

Permanent position based out of Portland, OR.
