High‑Visibility Fuels Superintendent opportunity with a rapidly growing construction firm building large‑scale fueling and energy centers across Hawaii and the Western U.S. The role is travel‑heavy, with per diem and housing fully covered on Hawaii projects.
Ideal candidates bring hands‑on experience with underground fuel storage tank installation and removal, C‑store or casino fueling buildouts, and strong coordination across subcontractors, inspectors, and jurisdictions. Tribal project experience and permitting knowledge are a plus.
Responsibilities- Develop a schedule and cost‑effective plan for the completion of an assigned project.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to create pre‑construction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
- Prepare full‑scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
- Inspect work for quality and timeliness; prepare and provide progress reports to owners and engineers; make recommendations for necessary modifications.
- Obtain required permits and licenses, execute construction contracts according to terms of the agreement.
- Monitor budget throughout the project and communicate any variances as they occur.
- Maintain records related to job costs and inventory and send them to the appropriate party.
- Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and benders.
- Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
- Follow company safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment; communicate any safety concerns with the safety representative as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License/CDL required.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment operation, working with grades and reading blueprints.
- Experience working with underground fuel piping for gas stations.
- Supervisory experience within the construction industry required.
- ICC Certification to handle, install, and test both underground and above‑ground piping preferred.
