Deacon Construction, LLC is seeking a Superintendent to join our Special Projects team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience supervising commercial tenant improvement projects ranging from $50K to $5.0M. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in field coordination, safety compliance, scheduling, and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through close-out.
- Manage field operations, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field staff.
- Maintain and update project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.
- Ensure safety compliance with company policies and OSHA standards; promote and enforce a safe job site.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and Deacon standards.
- Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings and daily coordination to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
- Track and report labor productivity, material quantities, and equipment utilization.
- Support job cost control by monitoring budgets, forecasts, and changes in scope.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to ensure project milestones and expectations are met.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction supervision, preferably in tenant improvement projects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with project scheduling software preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety practices and construction industry standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate and manage field teams effectively.
- Must be able to plan and execute full project schedules independently.
- OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience with Procore or similar project management software.
- Familiarity with cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting tools.
