Jet Industries - Electrical Supervisor

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Accountable for overseeing every step of the construction process, from planning to completion, ensuring work is delivered safely on time and within budget, and managing equipment and materials required on multiple projects.
  • Performs material take-offs.
  • Coordinates with jurisdictional utilities companies and inspectors.
Responsible For
  • Requests purchase orders.
  • Performs job walks with inspectors.
  • Trains Apprentices, Laborers, Foreman, and Journeyman.
  • Manages all field personnel, processes, and tools; ensures personnel have the appropriate tools to complete the project.
  • Performs owner's training; evaluates construction methods and determines cost-effectiveness of plans and actual work.
  • Verifies safety and equipment training certifications; delegates project manpower.
  • Provides technical information to the Project Manager for RFIs, change orders, submittals, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Maintains awareness of project budget and identifies cost savings.
  • Determines and communicates all necessary project permit needs.
  • Fosters relationships with General Contractors, Owners, and Stakeholders.
  • Facilitates site logistics, including ordering and tracking supplies, safety measures, access, and parking.
  • Communicates task progress, coordination, site logistics, and safety with the General Contractor; communicates task completion for inspection scheduling.
  • Attends project meetings (Kick-off, Coordination, weekly subcontractor on-site, post-job, and project review).
  • Documents delays, bad weather, or emergencies and communicates results to Jet Management.
  • Plans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion; supervises field crews; ensures on-time submission of project forms.
  • Procures project equipment and materials per scope and schedule; coordinates constructability and compatibility with other trades and building systems.
  • Reviews and prices project documents for changes (e.g., bid drawings, ASIs) per contract documents and timelines.
  • Documents job walks with project status photos; regularly visits projects to assess performance, safety, progress, and quality, ensuring alignment with field, clients, and other trades.
  • Invites design meetings; inventories and manages all equipment, materials, and supplies for construction on site.
  • Ensures safety and environmental policies of the company and project owners are followed by all personnel.
  • Coordinates project activities across multiple teams to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality standards; maintains daily accounting for work aligned with schedule and scope.
  • Maintains the project schedule; monitors risks and develops contingency plans; tracks labor hours and material budgets; attends corporate project status meetings.
  • Ensures field personnel have appropriate installation equipment and materials; schedules inspections; ensures documentation to complete the project is available.
  • Reviews and tracks project schedules, including tasks and durations for Jet trades and other trades.
