Superintendent Of Construction
Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day field operations for ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $10M+.
- Develop and manage the full project schedule from preconstruction through closeout.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Oversee job site safety programs and enforce safety compliance standards.
- Manage quality control processes and ensure workmanship meets project requirements.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and site logistics.
- Track project costs, productivity, forecasting, and job costing.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Proactively resolve field issues including weather impacts, site constraints, or unforeseen conditions.
- Proven experience as the lead Superintendent on ground‑up projects valued at $10M or more.
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling, with MS Project preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project timelines.
- Experience supervising field teams including foremen, assistant superintendents, and project engineers.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Open to projects throughout the state of Oregon.
- Blueprint reading.
- Proficiency in Procore.
- OSHA 30 certification.
The role is on‑site, with the first project being a $7 million ground‑up storage facility. Candidates need to be open to travel to projects throughout Oregon but outside of the Portland Metro area. Per diem is provided for travel. Benefits include a company vehicle/car allowance, company cell phone, gas card, and an annual bonus program based on personal and company performance.
Other benefits include a 4% 401k match, partially paid medical benefits, and 8 paid holidays.
This is a permanent position based out of Portland, OR. This is a fully on‑site position in Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ - $/yr. Medical/health/dental, 401k match, company vehicle/allowance.
