About This Role

Fiber Tel, LLC is hiring a Telecom Construction Manager for our Hillsboro, OR location. The Telecom Construction Manager will oversee the operations of multiple construction sites, schedule workers, and manage the delivery of equipment and materials. The candidate will supervise foremen and crews, ensure projects are completed on time, and that work complies with plans, specifications, and local codes.

Pay: $90k‑110k/yr, DOE.

Responsibilities

All phases of telecommunication construction include loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weights of construction materials and equipment.

  • Maintain the build‑out schedule and make changes as necessary to meet deadlines
  • Inspect job sites and individual work duties
  • Maintain a daily job‑site log
  • Perform quality‑control duties per job site
  • Participate in required supervisor meetings
  • Ensure each team member is aware of quality and safety standards and company policies
  • Assist in training foremen and crew members
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with workers, customers, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and verify work is completed
  • Coordinate construction services and activities
  • Ensure job‑site safety is being met
  • Mediate disputes or complaints with third parties
  • Approve daily timecard submissions for foremen and crew members
Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of telecom experience
  • 1‑3 years as a construction foreman
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain the required license
  • Good driving record
  • Basic knowledge of operating utility trucks and equipment safely
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment handling safely
  • Class A CDL is a plus (higher wage scales apply)
  • Effective communication skills with customers, employees, and others
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to perform all duties in telecommunication construction
  • Travel flexibility
Working Conditions

This full‑time hourly position requires at least 40 hours per week in an outdoor environment exposed to weather conditions such as extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. Work may involve changing terrains, traffic, urban or rural settings, exposure to natural gas, electrical shock risk, and moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Requirements

Stand for up to 12 hours at a time, tolerate extreme weather, speak and hear safety instructions, and perform repeated lifting, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling. Regularly lift 75 pounds. The role requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
