We are seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team and take on a lead role in driving accurate and competitive project estimates. The ideal candidate will bring extensive roofing industry knowledge, proven estimating expertise, and the ability to hit the ground running. This individual will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, analyzing material and labor requirements, and preparing precise cost estimates for both residential and commercial roofing projects.

The Lead Estimator will also serve as a subject matter expert on the various roofing materials and systems our company offers, providing clear guidance to both our team and clients.

Lead the estimating process for all roofing projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive bids.

Review project blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope of work.

Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, flat/low-slope, and specialty systems.

Provide detailed breakdowns of estimated costs for clients and internal teams.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry pricing trends.

Collaborate with project managers, sales staff, and clients to clarify project details and ensure estimates align with expectations.

Mentor junior estimators or support staff as needed, offering training and guidance.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service.

Assist in developing estimating procedures and best practices to streamline workflow.

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a roofing estimator, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.

Strong knowledge of multiple roofing systems and materials.

Ability to produce accurate cost estimates independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain material options and pricing.

Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and digital takeoff tools.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
