About Charter Construction

Serving the Pacific Northwest for over 40 years, Charter Construction, a brand of American Restoration Operations, has established itself as a restoration contractor that sets the standard for performance, integrity, and quality in the industry. We build relationships with homeowners, community managers, developers, design and insurance professionals, delivering extraordinary results in an open and collaborative environment.

About You

The Project Manager will have a construction focus to effectively estimate, plan, direct, and supervise restoration projects from damage through reconstruction. The Project Manager represents Charter Construction and plays a critical role in delivering projects consistent with service and customer expectations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Supporting the Portland Metro, Project Managers for Charter's Specialty Projects and Restoration teams are not traditional Project Managers. They may manage 6‑10 projects a week and complete approximately 250 projects a year. A deep understanding of the remodeling process—from dirt to doorknobs— is paramount as the successful candidate will manage a team of skilled carpenters, be proficient at estimating work, anticipate manpower scheduling, and be an excellent communicator both internally and externally.

You are the main point of contact for your clients. As most work is performed on multi‑family housing, you will communicate with many types of people, from homeowners to board members, and articulate why repairs are essential and how to solve problems.

The Restoration Team offers freedom and is perfect for self‑starters. You will not feel alone, as you will be surrounded by hardworking, multi‑talented individuals in a culture of goodwill, fun, and camaraderie, while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
