PCI is seeking an experienced Estimator for its West Coast Marine operations based in Portland, OR. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Perform quantitative takeoffs of Joinery scopes.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors to solicit competitive material and equipment pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self‑perform group.
• Understand market conditions—including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors—for establishing margin percentages.
• Participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
• Support customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Assist in the hand‑off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
• Assist in other duties as assigned such as change‑order management or billings depending on the project(s).

This position is safety sensitive.

$78,900–$106,000 annual salary plus non‑guaranteed annualized bonus program.

• At least 3–5 years of experience estimating shipbuilding and joinery projects.
• Strong understanding of joinery systems on Commercial, MSC, and US Navy vessels.
• Shipbuilding experience in New Construction and/or Repair/Modernization.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for Joinery scopes of work.
• Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
• Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience working with union representatives is preferred.
• Local to Portland, OR.
