Construction Manager

We're looking for a Construction Manager to be based in the Portland Area who is excited about working on projects supporting our clients' business and business practices. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on utility construction projects including water/wastewater, treatment facilities, and pipeline. Relevant experience includes structural concrete, vaults, conveyance/pipeline, pump/lift stations, tanks, basins, integration & controls, and mechanical install.

Preferred experience with mechanical elements of water infrastructure, including pumps, motors, valves, piping, clarifier, filtration and sedimentation equipment, and building mechanical systems. You will be expected to be able to work with clients and contractors with the knowledge of construction practices including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, and oversight of day-to-day activities. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you'll help our teams achieve our client's objectives.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Construction Management working on clean water/waste water projects or related projects
  • Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements.
  • Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Proven experience leading full-cycle projects—from preconstruction and procurement through close-out—while managing budgets, schedules, and field teams.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, and other project management tools is essential, with additional computer literacy

Essential Functions:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same.

No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near or on a construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
