About the PositionWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager who can effectively manage complex heavy civil projects independently.
This position requires a proactive individual who can take charge of extensive underground utility and deep sewer pipeline projects, lead teams, safeguard profit margins, and ensure project progress with accountability.
You will have the responsibility to oversee the project with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver heavy civil projects ranging from $10 million to $100 million+
- Supervise and guide teams of 10 or more employees
- Manage preconstruction, estimates, and execution strategies
- Simultaneously oversee multiple projects while upholding schedule and cost management
- Take charge of project financials, forecasting, and profitability
- Handle contract negotiations and change order management
- Cultivate relationships with owners, municipalities, and agencies
- Proactively identify risks and address issues promptly
- Support client retention and business expansion
- Promote jobsite safety and ensure accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- More than 15 years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Significant background in deep sewer pipelines and underground utilities
- Over a decade of experience in managing intricate projects
- Proven track record of delivering profitable projects
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
- Aptitude to perform effectively under pressure and drive successful outcomes
- Combination of office work and presence on active jobsites
- Engagement in outdoor work under various conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) mandatory at all times on site
- Ability to navigate jobsites for prolonged periods
- Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in dynamic construction environments
