This is a student volunteer experience position. Volunteer experience participants receive monthly stipend payments.
The CPB photographer is a member of the marketing committee, which is tasked with the many elements of making CPB’s work known to students, including creating promotional events, running social media accounts, and designing all marketing materials for events. However, the photographer’s main focus is photography, primarily at promotional photo shoots and documenting events.
Core Duties- Take professional level photos for various event promotional photo shoots and to document events
- Create engaging and interactive posts on all CPB social media sites
- Create, design, and coordinate marketing efforts for CPB events in line with UP standards (including physical signage, social media campaigns, promotional events, and other channels of communication)
- Meet weekly with Campus Program Board leadership team to plan upcoming events and determine marketing logistics
- Assist in collaborative brainstorming sessions with other coordinators to create marketing materials
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA to apply
Preferred Qualifications- Basic knowledge of photo editing software
- High attention to detail in creating and proofreading marketing materials
- Proficient in public speaking or interested in improving public speaking skills
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot challenges in preparation for and throughout events
- Effective, timely, and professional communication to students, faculty/staff, and external vendors
- Prior experience with event planning or interest in learning about event planning
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and push heavy equipment on wheeled cart.
