WHEN DOES THIS POSITION BEGIN (AND END, IF APPLICABLE?

- JOB PURPOSE:

The Music Department Photographer / Videographer captures and edits visual content for use in marketing and publicity of departmental events. This federal work study position is supervised by the Performance Events Coordinator.

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for visiting classes, ensemble rehearsals, and / or music performances to safely capture video and / or photography from a distance while not disrupting musicians
  • Ability to assist with multi-camera livestream set-up and operations during performances
  • Provides edited video and / or photography for use in department marketing materials in a timely manner
  • Use captured content to create reels for social media
  • Weekly meetings with the Performance Events Coordinator and/or marketing team to discuss current projects, upcoming tasks, and deadlines
  • Candidate must have access to their own camera(s) and editing software, and be familiar with both
  • Ability to provide portfolio and/or links to samples of previous work
  • RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:
