Lifestyle Show Host

Nexstar Media Inc. and its Portland, Oregon operations—including KOIN-TV, KRCW-TV / Portland’s CW, and KOIN+—is seeking a full‑time host for a daily half‑hour lifestyle show airing on KOIN-TV.

• Provide daily on‑camera contributions to a daily television show.
• Generate and brainstorm local content ideas with sales managers and the content team.
• Produce, write, and stack show segments.
• Interview show guests or clients both in‑studio and on‑location.
• Collect information, video or photos at remote locations for post‑production.
• Greeting and assist guests during show preparations.
• Research show topics and develop questions for guests.
• Assist in booking guests, interviews, and local segments.
• Assist with sales presentations, including meeting with clients.
• Participate in events—either station‑sponsored or others—to promote the show.
• Maintain social media accounts and assist with online content.
• Produce and post digital content for digital platforms and the CTV streaming channel, including clipping of show segments and headline writing.
• Assist the Executive Producer with writing show segments.
• Attend daily show meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in film, photography, television, news or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a host or on‑air personality.
• Ability to write, shoot and edit packages.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines.
• Energetic, positive, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Highly motivated self‑starter who can work well alone and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Requires proficiency with newsroom computer systems, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.

High‑stress environment with deadline pressures and the demands of breaking news, which can occur at any time. The position requires day‑to‑day multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously with frequent changes in direction and priority. Travel may be required. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. Must be willing and able to work any shift as necessary, including nights, overnights, early mornings, days, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to sit for long periods, conduct phone conversations, use email, write letters and memos, conduct face‑to‑face discussions, make unaided decisions that impact coworkers, operate in a controlled indoor environment, and perform tasks requiring use of a computer and other office equipment.
