City of Portland is seeking Emergency Communications Dispatcher Trainees to serve the Portland metropolitan area. You will answer 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls, dispatch responders, and receive paid instruction in call handling, computer, radio, and phone systems under stressful conditions.
No prior experience is required; you'll be guided by experienced coaches, with daily performance feedback to track progress and a clear path to advancement to Senior Dispatcher upon training completion.
