The

opportunity

The Operations Staff are responsible for three main roles:
Front Desk, Play Lounge, and Support Staff duties. The Front Desk and Play Lounge team are responsible for ensuring strong client relations while maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming studio atmosphere; focusing on sales, membership, leading by example, and imprinting on other staff. The Operations Team will assist the Studio Manager in daily tasks that meet the guidelines outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual for studio maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and members.
  • Build relationships with members to provide a positive and memorable barre3 experience.
  • Drive and perform sales duties by selling and upselling product offerings, classes, and retail to potential clients and existing members.
  • Build strong client relations while maintaining a warm and supportive environment.
  • Provide a safe and caring environment for barre3 children.
  • Execute strong communication skills and a professional presence to staff and clients.
  • Work together as a team to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
  • Strive to be the top seller of b3 memberships, retail, and class packages and model best practices around selling to team members.
  • Assist the Studio Manager in writing new client emails, staff and info email accounts, client referral cards, client outreach, client accounts, and communication.
  • Work on special projects with the Studio Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Help continuously evolve barre3 studio standards, making Portland "best-in-class" for operations standards company wide.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized studio atmosphere at all times.
  • Prepare the studio for the AM/PM classes and front desk shift.
  • Help with in-studio events and off-site events.
Requirements
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work independently.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; initiative, self-motivation, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Display empathy while maintaining firm boundaries.
  • Work a minimum of two shifts per week (10 hours minimum).
  • Two years of education, or equivalent experience, in customer service, sales, or childcare.
  • Permanent position; not accepting seasonal staff at this time.
