Job Summary

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Marketing Director in Portland, OR. This role is ideal for a service-focused marketing professional who enjoys building relationships, giving facility tours, supporting prospective residents and families, and creating a welcoming first impression.

The Marketing Director will play an important role in community outreach, resident move-ins, administrative coordination, and daily resident support. This position offers a positive, people-centered work environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults and their families.

This is a great fit for someone with marketing, customer service, leasing, hospitality, senior living, or property management experience who is organized, warm, professional, and comfortable managing both marketing-related duties and front office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct professional and informative tours, explaining facility amenities, fees, services, and available programs to prospective residents and guests.
  • Prepare and mail brochure packets, newsletters, follow-up materials, weekly reports, and related marketing communications.
  • Support the move‑in and move‑out process, including inspections, rental agreement review, new resident coordination, and resident lunches.
  • Greet and assist residents, families, guests, and the general public while answering questions in person and by phone.
  • Maintain accurate daily records for calls, meals, mini‑mart purchases, postage, cash activity, maintenance requests, and resident‑related updates.
  • Assist with general office operations, including opening and closing duties, phone coverage, resident service requests, and occasional bus driving support as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Lead tours and communicate the value of the facility, amenities, fees, and services to prospective residents and guests.
  • Coordinate marketing follow‑up, brochure mailings, inquiry tracking, reports, and resident move‑in support.
  • Provide front office, resident service, administrative, cash handling, and daily communication support.
  • Assist residents and guests with meals, postage, maintenance requests, messages, and general service needs.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred based on the experience level for this opportunity.
  • Marketing background is very helpful, through education, professional experience, or both.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to take a project from idea through implementation.
  • Warm, caring, and professional communication style with a sincere interest in working with older adults.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to assist residents, families, visitors, and team members with patience and professionalism.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a neat, tidy, professional appearance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, balance cash activity, and follow established office procedures.
  • Good driving record.
  • Ability to understand and follow emergency procedures, including fire alarm response.
  • Must be able to complete pre‑employment background screening and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in senior living, property management, hospitality, leasing, community relations, or resident services.
  • Experience giving tours, supporting move‑ins, conducting follow‑up calls, or working with prospective residents and families.
  • Familiarity with basic office administration, customer service systems, cash handling, and marketing materials coordination.
