Schedule:Hybrid (after probationary period; 3 days onsite, 2 days from home), Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm (with schedule flexibility)
Wage Range:$22.58 – $28.35 Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position OverviewNARA is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to support our dental clinic's revenue cycle operations. This role is responsible for ensuring dental services are billed accurately, claims are submitted and tracked efficiently, and insurance reimbursements are processed correctly.
The ideal candidate has dental billing experience, understands insurance payer requirements, and enjoys solving billing issues while working closely with both insurance carriers and dental staff.
What You Will Do- Review and approve daily dental charges.
- Retrieve and reconcile charges from Dentrix and Athena systems.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Set up patient billing and insurance profiles.
- Review, research, and resolve claim denials, rejections, and zero-pay claims.
- Submit insurance claims.
- Follow up with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Oregon, and Washington payers.
- Create payment batches and process Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Escalate recurring issues when needed.
- Process refunds, adjustments, and write-offs.
- Communicate regularly with dental providers, clinic staff, and insurance carriers.
- Support additional revenue cycle projects
