We are seeking a full-time landscape designer or landscape architect to join our Portland, OR office and collaborate with a diverse team of multi-disciplinary professionals.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional office.
  • Highly motivated, well-organized team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong desire to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, biologists, planners and other practice area specialists to achieve project goals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land FX planting, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Sketch Up and Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficient with Pacific Northwest plants, native and ornamental, and planting design.
  • Basic experience in building construction drawing packages.
  • Basic experience in preparing project specifications and cost estimates.
Responsibilities
  • Assist landscape architecture team in design, drawing production and project management support.
  • Assist landscape architecture team with complex projects from initial concept through to completion.
  • Work effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Prepare effective planting designs and construction documents with minimal oversight and assistance.
  • Develop project specific construction details with an understanding of project budget and constructability.
  • Perform site analysis, product and plant research and sourcing.
  • Integrate sustainable design and construction methodologies into our work.
  • Maintain and assist in improving existing company standards, processes and systems.
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts.
Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience with WSDOT, PBOT, and/or ODOT standards, specifications, and processes, including preparation of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) and design-bid-build delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of Central/Eastern Washington and Oregon planting design.
  • Knowledge of Rocky Mountain states’ planting design.
  • Knowledge of irrigation design.

Location

The position will be based in our Vancouver, Washington office. Our existing team overlaps in office 3-4 days a week on average. We are flexible with partial hybrid hours but feel that we are most effective when we can collaborate in person.

Pay Range

Annual Expected Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $90,000 USD
