Network Linux Lead​/Architect

Role: Networking Lead/Architect

Location: Portland, OR/Onsite only

Employment Type: Fulltime

• Take a lead role in specifying and designing solutions for network elements of the platform infrastructure to manage layer 2 / 3 networks to support embedded IFE / IFC systems and virtualization / containerization (hosting, networks, storage).
• Define Architecture and Design for next generation networking subsystem,
• Develop design for network layers and services that enables PAC to provide self-service tooling that can be used to manage airside network deployments and operational concerns.
• Work closely with other platform architects to their networking needs and define requirements for the networking services to meet those needs.
• Define, document and communicate clear goals (NFRs) for the network architecture including the reasons they were chosen, key attributes, risks and how the architecture meets them
• Recommend and develop architectural design patterns / frameworks that enable the chosen architecture and will be used by the development teams.
• Review existing networking designs and identify / implement improvements
• Responsible for providing complete front-to-end engineering, implementation and support of network solutions involving, but not limited to, WAN, LAN, WLAN, Security and Virtual technologies.
• Work with a development team to break down the architecture into development tasks, review that work delivered meets architecture design specifications and help resolve any design issues or blockers with solutions that meet product requirements.
