Position: Architectural Designer (41642)
Support our highly collaborative architectural design studio in a fully integrated A&E practice to meet our clients' ever-changing needs and have a hand in transforming tomorrow. As a Designer within the Electronics Architectural Team in Portland, Oregon, you will be an integral member of a highly creative, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to innovative problem-solving and design excellence. Working in fast-paced projects, you will collaborate with teammates based throughout the country and the world, harnessing their expertise and specializations.

You will support the design and construction of facilities and structures for our clients requiring advanced planning and building techniques.

Working with our Semiconductor team of architects and designers, you will help develop technical design solutions and produce project drawings, specifications and models. Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, perform all conventional aspects of architectural design and analysis:

* Plan and conduct work requiring thoughtful utilization of architectural methodologies

* Exercise judgement and problem-solving skills, reaching out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise.

* Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control

* Committed to checking your own work.

* Be responsible for managing your own workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking ownership of your assigned work.  Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail.

* Be a motivated self-starter who is punctual, proactive, and attentive, with strong organizational skills

* Developing leadership and coaching skills

* Develop leadership skills through observation, mentorship and assigned tasks provided by Senor Architects

* Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced architectural designers.

* Be proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the architectural discipline.  Embrace emerging technologies.

* Assist the Architectural team responsible for scope development of technical designs, construction drawings, specifications, and model creation.

* Attend project meetings and take an active role to help team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines.

* Participate in internal and cross-discipline project coordination and quality reviews.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program

* 3-8 years of Architectural experience in a professional setting

* Proficiency with Revit

* Ability to ensure project quality and provide ideas and suggestions aimed at improving the effectiveness of project activities

* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* U.S citizenship

Ideally, you will also have:

* Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, and Navisworks

* Experience with Semiconductor facility design

* Knowledge and application of building code requirements

* Ability to travel
