Position: Interdisciplinary Architect/Engineer (Construction Manager).
  • Manage multiple, highly complex facility construction projects from the planning phase through completion, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the lead construction subject matter expert, providing technical consultation to internal teams, external stakeholders, and various legal jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement contracting strategies and oversee resident engineers, quality assurance representatives, and other construction support staff for each project.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Contracting Officer to evaluate and negotiate contract awards, modifications, and payment recommendations.
  • Monitor construction project activities through site visits and direct communication to ensure work conforms to contract specifications and safety standards.
  • Ensure all project deliverables, financial processes, and purchasing actions comply with agency policies and lead continuous improvement efforts by documenting lessons learned.
Duties

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Architecture
  • Degree: architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.

  • Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the architectural principles,…
