Portland, OR (Onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract

We’re looking for a Color Designer who lives and breathes sneakers.

You’ll create the color stories behind footwear that shows up on shelves and in culture — building seasonal palettes, defending your choices with insight and mood boards, and carrying color from first concept all the way through commercialization with Design, Development, Materials, and Product Marketing.

• Create and execute color designs for footwear products
• Develop seasonal color stories, palettes, and product-specific color solutions
• Research color, consumer, cultural, fashion, and lifestyle trends — then turn them into product
• Review samples, communicate revisions, and finalize color specifications
• Manage line art, color specs, CAD file organization, timelines, and deliverables

• 5+ years of color design experience — footwear preferred (apparel/consumer products considered)
• A portfolio with real color storytelling: mood boards, palettes, and the why behind every choice
• Strong grasp of color theory, color application, materials and finishes
• Fluency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Sneaker culture and consumer trend knowledge, backed by insight data
• Bachelors in design, Color Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design or equivalent experience
