Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Required Skills:

  • Active licensure in Washington (WA License or IMLC) and valid WA DEA registration
  • Active OR License and OR DEA registration
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Hospice (must have sufficient hospice experience if FM or IM)
  • Proven experience in hospice and palliative care
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • BLS certification
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience with telehealth platforms
  • Multiple state licensure
  • Additional certifications related to hospice or palliative care
  • Prior experience in a telehealth setting
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine completed within the last 5 years
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospice or palliative care experience preferred
Other Requirements:
  • Must be licensed to practice in Oregon (OR) and hold OR DEA license in hand
  • Willingness to work approximately 40 hours per week, with guaranteed 8-hour shifts
  • Availability for call coverage 4-6 nights per month and about one weekend per month; weekend coverage may be shared with NP team
  • Capacity to handle complex symptom management, crisis visits, and inpatient admissions
  • Ability to work in the Portland and Medford areas, including treatment of patients in southwest Washington (considered part of the Portland metro area)
  • OT applies after 9 hours per day; additional reimbursements for travel, licensure, certified education, and other applicable expenses
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00, along with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws, and a robust referral bonus program. You will be supported by a 24/7 dedicated team committed to your success throughout your assignment. Additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses are available.
