Dove Lewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Portland, Oregon.
Dove Lewis is a nonprofit teaching hospital with a collaborative culture and deep community roots. As an Emergency Veterinarian, you'll manage diverse ER/ICU caseloads and have the ability to transfer patients between ER/ICU and on-site specialty services to ensure exceptional emergency and critical care for walk-in and referral patients.
What you'll do- Perform initial patient evaluation and medical management of diverse emergency case loads
- Manage patient flow across the ER and/or ICU floor
- Communicate clearly with clients on diagnostics, treatment plans, and next steps
- Build strong working relationships with the referring DVM community
Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited school, or ECFVG certification
- Diagnostic and technical skills for emergency and critically ill patients
- Ability to be licensed in the state of Oregon
- Equivalent combinations of experience and training will be considered
