Japanese Adjunct Faculty Pool - Academic Year 2025-26

The Japanese language and literature program is one of the long-standing degree programs in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at Portland State University. The department currently offers over 30 JPN courses during the year, serving approximately 150 to 200 students per quarter during fall, winter and spring. We invite applicants to share availability and interest in our part-time adjunct instructor pool to teach- first- year JPN courses during the year to meet the needs of the students.

Actual course offerings and / or number of sections of course offerings will be based on the needs of the department.

Current need for 2 hours weekly for JPN 101 for Fall Term.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Teach first-, second-, third- and/or Advanced Japanese language courses according to the needs of the department.

* Maintain regular office hours for students.
