Position Summary

Portland State University, recipient of the Department of Education (DOE) Postsecondary Student Success Grant (PSSG) for the Access Connect Complete Engage (ACCE) program seeks a Partnerships Coordinator Transfer Student Success to oversee the collaboration and development of transfer agreements, pathways, programs, and policies between partner colleges, and other community colleges in the Portland Metro area and PSU from February 1, 2026 through September 30, 2028.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, this role will support both the deliverables of the program in addition to broader academic partnerships between PSU and community college partners. The Partnerships Coordinator Transfer Student Success reports to the Executive Director Student Success and PI of the ACCE program. The Partnerships Coordinator provides institutional leadership and coordination of academic transfer partnership agreements, programs, and services aimed at improving transfer student success including identifying evidence based practices to improve transfer student success outcomes.

This position will include assistance with identifying and maintaining curricular pathways that result in efficient credit articulation and degree completion. This role will provide leadership coordination, support, and guidance to the university and its transfer partner institutions in developing effective transfer agreements, pathways, programs, and supportive policies and procedures. This role maintains knowledge on best practice in support of effective transfer, and in assessing transfer student trends and outcomes.

In accordance with the AAUP collective bargaining agreement this position is open only to current PSU AAUP academic professionals. Article 17 Section 11 refers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination of transfer partnership agreements, programs, and services to improve transfer student success.
• Identify evidence-based practices to improve transfer student outcomes.
• Maintain curricular pathways that enable efficient credit articulation and degree completion.
• Develop and support transfer partnerships with PSU and community college partners; guide policies and procedures.
• Stay current on best practices in transfer and assess transfer student trends and outcomes.
• Work with the Executive Director and PI of ACCE to deliver program deliverables and support broader partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree
  • 3-5 years experience in higher education
  • Strong understanding of community college transfer curricula as it relates to transfer to four year curricula and transfer articulation practices
