The department will review applications as new part‑time faculty positions become available, including substitute assignments as well as full‑term class assignments.

Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree in Economics
- OR Master’s degree in related field, and 30 hours of graduate work in economics
- OR Master’s degree in related field, Bachelor’s degree in economics, and 24 hours of graduate work in economics
- Anthropology, Area Studies, Business Communication Studies
- Community Development, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies
- Gender Studies, Geography, History, Sociology, Political Science
- Psychology, Philosophy, Urban Studies
- A background in economic history and the history of economic thought is preferred
The PCC district encompasses a 1,500‑square‑mile area in northwest Oregon and offers two‑year degrees, one‑year certificate programs, short‑term training, alternative education, pre‑college courses and life‑long learning. As part of our college community, you’ll enjoy:

Credentials from other countries will be evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Part‑Time Faculty Compensation at PCCNewly hired part‑time faculty will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
