PCC is accepting applications to be considered for Part‑time Faculty assignments for the Nursing Assistant program at the Sylvania Campus. Candidates may be considered for lecture/lab and clinical settings. This is not an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part‑time Faculty Interest Pool.
Clinical Instructor Scope Of WorkSupervises, instructs, and evaluates nursing assistant students in a clinical setting. An instructor is assigned to a clinical site for 2 days or evenings a week/term. The instructor will supervise between 4 to 6 students at one time. Primary communication will be with the director of the Nursing Assistant program.
Lecture/Lab Instructor Scope Of WorkInstructs and evaluates nursing assistant students in the lab setting. Primary communication will be with the director of the Nursing Assistant program.
Instructor QualificationsThere are two categories of instructors to be considered for hire:
Primary Instructor- Hold a current Oregon RN license
- Have at least two years’ experience as an RN
- Have evidence of completion of a course on teaching adults, or one year of experience teaching adults
- Hold a current Oregon RN or LPN license
- Have the equivalent of at least one year of experience as a licensed nurse

Upon hire, faculty will be required to complete clinical requirements such as a drug screen, background check, vaccination verification, and online training modules. See Requirements for Clinical & Field Education for more information.
Note Regarding Academic Credentials- Official transcripts are required to be submitted within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees required in the stated Instructor Qualifications.
- Instructors shall have earned required academic credentials at a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution having the equivalent of regional accreditation. Instructors with credentials from other countries will have their transcripts evaluated by agencies that have good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services to establish fulfillment of this standard (for more information see http://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).

CompensationNewly hired Part‑time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates are determined based upon the type of course taught (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab).
