Title: Clinical Instructor – Part Time

As part of our dedication to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals, we are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team.

In this vital role, the Clinical Instructor will:

• Teach and guide students during their clinical rotations and laboratory
• Enhance the curriculum design to ensure relevance and excellence in nursing
• Conduct instruction at clinical partner sites in Portland and the surrounding areas, working with groups of up to 8 students.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development in labs.

Other responsibilities include:

• Guide and supervise students in their labs
• Engage students by creating and maintaining a safe and encouraging learning environment
• Document student attendance, participation, and post grades in accordance with college policy
• Provide timely and constructive feedback
• Support the delivery of the College mission, vision, program, and course outcomes
• Participate in curriculum evaluation and planning
• Meet in-service and professional development requirements
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to the Board of Nursing Chapter 851 Division 21 Standards for Approval:
  Nursing Faculty
• Other duties as assigned by the department head

Requirements:

• Unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• At least 2 years nursing experience
• Ability to engage students in active learning and critical thinking
• Background in Medical Surgical

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Night shift

Education: Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience: Nursing: 2 years (Preferred)

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: OR RN License (Required)
